Fascinated by the marine world, my brush had to transcribe the sensations of plongeur dans son approche face à ce bébé cachalot. La mère lui a confié son petit, before diving into the depths to hunt for squid.

Cette œuvre est inspirée d’une scène finale du documentaire Plongée dans l’univers des baleines, consacré au photographe sous-marin Patrick Dykstra et à ses rencontres avec les cachalots. J’ai choisi de peindre ce moment pour ce qu’il représente : une confiance exceptionnelle entre l’Homme et l’animal.
